Each lovely candle bowl is entirely handcrafted by the artist, who first chalks his design onto the metal and then cuts it out with a hammer and chisel. By pounding out the bead-work and fine detail, the leaf pattern emerges. He then bends the leaves around the base and rivets the edges together to give the bowl its shape. A wonderful innovation in the folk art tradition of Haitian metal sculpture.

Revised review: When I told Roody that the item was a different size than advertised and I'd like to return it since I did not have a use for it, he sent me a mailing label and refunded the total of the order. Easy to work with. Thanks! Original review: The craftsmanship is beautiful and delivery was perfect - but the piece is not 7"x3". It's 9" at the widest point and 4" at the bottom. I was hoping to use this for a pillar candle - but the candle drowns in it. :(
