This bird is made from Recycled barrels used in our country to carry gas and oil. We do not have many roads here so we carry much needed supplies in these barrels. When they are finished they are brought to new life with a hammer and a nail. We cut each detail and make all of the shapes. Thank you very much.
The Dove of Peace is a universal symbol dating back to the story of Noah and the Ark. There are also medieval folk tales from Central Asia in which a dove is the pivotal figure in keeping the peace between to warring kings. Much later, Pablo Picasso's dove drawings were adopted by the Peace Movement following World War II, thus reaffirming it's representation in modern times.
