*Hippocrates Staff by Patric Bernard This well-recognized symbol of medical care is crafted from recycled steel drums by artisans in Haiti. All of the cutwork and design elements are worked in traditional manner by hand using simple tools. A fine piece of original folk art for your home or office. It's Cactus Metal Art Haiti *Hand-crafted in Haiti. Before this sculpture left the workshop in Haiti, a clear, weather-proof coating was applied to protect it from the elements. If it is displayed indoors, you'll never have to lift a finger, but if it is going to go outside, you might want to apply a spray-on clear coat yourself once a year to retain it's glossy patina.

As pictured. We loved it.

It's good for the price.

I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty, resourcefulness and craftsmanship of the Haitian artists that use the old oil barrels to make these works of art. The whole history of it is amazing. Do consider buying from them. Haiti is always in need of help, and every bit counts! Thank you for make king these items available. My Med Student daughter was absolutely thrilled to have it.
